I got into websites because I was curious. You'd change a line, hit refresh, and there was something that hadn't been there a minute earlier.
Then came strategy, meetings, targets, and presentations. All useful. But at the end of some days, I'd mostly discussed a lot and made very little.
Work that becomes visible
Building pushes back. Something doesn't work. You try again. You have to make choices you can't hide forever in a deck.
That's what I missed: the simplicity of an empty screen, and the responsibility of making something out of it.
Not everything needs to scale. Sometimes it just needs to exist.
So I want to build more often again. For clients, for myself, or because an idea at 11:47 pm refuses to shut up.
