The name might sound like nothing touches me. That's not true. There's actually a lot that affects me deeply.
My kids. My faith. Freedom. Good work. People who are honest. An idea that suddenly clicks.
Not everything deserves equal space
What I want less and less is to build my life around expectations that aren't mine. The right job title. The safe path. A version of success that mostly just photographs well.
"Couldn't care less" isn't a shrug. It's choosing where I actually give my attention.
Not because nothing interests me. Because not everything still has to.
That doesn't work every day. But I catch myself faster now, when I'm explaining myself again to people who've already decided what's sensible.
